2021 saw a bunch of us at CMS going south through Africa. We have covered 21,285 miles in our African Virtual Tour.
Our Miles Against Malaria fundraising Trans-Africa Tour 2021 with a small group of CMS employees is progressing amazingly well. So far in our three months we have covered 6,290 miles.
Well done Team CMS !
As with the rest of the world, we are experiencing limitations under this current pandemic. Lockdowns reduce our partner missionaries’ ability to deliver the nets and the gospel despite their best intentions.
However, fundraising has been in high gear as we continue to raise funds to supply and support our partners once the world returns to some form of normality. Please do feel free to donate here at our fundraising site as we cover thousands of virtual miles around the world in this cause.
A small group up us have managed to hike, bike, run and swim our way more than a quarter of the way around the world. We made it from the equator to the North Pole, overshooting it by 1,000 miles to be sure. Fundraising was successful and a huge thanks to all those who helped make this happen.
Lemons, lemons and more lemons…
LSI took to the local village Gala to raise funds from an all lemon themed bake sale. A good amount was raised that will purchase many nets. A huge thank you to all those involved and the gala committee for giving us the stall at the last minute.
This year, Musselburgh Burgh Primary School ran another outstanding Freestyle Mile event. The children completed their sponsored miles on all forms of wheels and feet, including wheelchairs. They raised a fantastic £1,270 plus gift aid. What a fantastic effort and huge THANK YOU to all the children, parents and teachers involved in the event.
This year’s efforts notched up 1,340 miles and an awesome £1,500 which was matched by CMS Law making a total raised of £3,000. Massive thank you to all involved and really looking forward to beating this effort in 2019 with some eye watering goals.

This weekend the children and I cycled over one hundred cumulative miles in order to raise funds for the charity.
Please donate if you are able via our fundraising site.
Another successful journey through the mucky mud of Drumlanrig Castle. 11 Miles and 20+ obstacles made a great event that was well supported. We managed to raise £300 in sponsorships and this was matched by CMS Cameron McKenna Nabarro taking the total to £600. Thank you for all your efforts and support !
